Welcome to the Nightosphere: Bring Us a Dream

Welcome to the Nightosphere: We all Dream

A menagerie was, originally, a place where exotic animals and plants were kept.
A dream is, well, for a lack of an eloquent definition: "moving images/senses/ playing about in the mind while in a state of sleep".

Thus, the Dream Menagerie is the storage and keeping of dreams. I'd like to store dreams: your dreams, my dreams, his, hers. It sounds a little weird (and perhaps it is) but I can assure, there is NO ulterior or fetish like motive behind this: I simply wish to record and share dreams.

I believe we are all capable of imagination, and for those of you wishing to debunk me, I say: look at your dreams, they are FILLED with imagination.

I shall start by recording my own dreams and hope that it will inspire you to do the same and send me in your dreams. All dreams will remain anonymous, including my own, and the only editorial changes made will be grammatical (unless the way in which the dream is recorded is an artistic choice, no changes will be made).
I hope as well to convert some of the recorded dreams into short films, spanning from 10 - 60 seconds.

It will be an arduous project, but it will definitely be worth it.

"Happy" Dreaming!

  1. When I was younger I would have the weirdest dreams, but this one was probably one of the coolest I've ever had since.

I was walking to school, like I would any other day. The route didn't seem any different and nothing felt abnormal. It takes usually 15 minutes to make it to school from where I live, but I noticed that it was taking much longer. So I started thinking why. So I'm looking around to see if I'm taking a different path and just as I turn my head behind me I notice a very vibrant yellow bus, like neon colored, pass me. I thought that was extremely bizarre and continued. I took three steps and realized I was dreaming. I could feel the world in that moment start tearing and I could feel myself be pulled out of the dream, but I took one step and leaped up into to the air. I could feel myself pushing past the air around me as I jumped over 50 into the sky. My focus then diverted to the sensation of going up and down like a feather. I can't remember what happened next, but I do remember giggling with glee at my first lucid dream and that I had beaten my own focus and distracted myself with something as awesome as near flight. :)
